Review: Yayoi Kusama @ Tate Modern
Try this. Stare directly into the sun for several seconds and blink just before your retinas start to burn. Alternatively, if you are in an overcast region or a prison cell, firmly stick your fingers in your eyes until purple and green spots and blobs interrupt your vision. Watch the spots float across your surroundings–repeat the process for an hour or so. Now you’ll have seen a preview of the cyclical spotty motif of Yayoi Kusama’s 14-room retrospective by the Tate Modern.
